Amla

The Indian gooseberry, also known as “Amalaka” in Sanskrit is from a deciduous tree of the Euphorbiaceae family. Has botanical name Phyllanthus emblic or Emblica officinalis. Amla contain useful key constituents like Diterpenes, Flavonoids, Polyphenols, Alkaloids, Benzenoids and antioxidants like ascorbic acid (vitamin C). It works as an antioxidant vitamin to fights signs of external and internal ageing. Amla is reputed to be useful in alopecia and adds luster and strength to the hair. It’s a natural astringent and works as a moisturizing conditioner. Amla contain hair growth-promoting properties as well. Amla oil has a topical solution to give additional nutrition to the scalp and hair to prevent dandruff and hair loss. Aritha

Aritha is known as ARISTAKAH, PHENILA in Sanskrit, and Soap nut in English and Sapindus laurifolius in Botanical language. They are form species of twelve of Sapindus shrubs in the soapberry family. Aritha contains Tannic acid and Vitamin C .The seeds are rich in Saponins. Aritha is an antibacterial cleanser; involves in the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface preventing hair loss and controlling dandruff. Aritha is a good cleansingagent for hair and clears sensitive and itchy scalp skin problems.

Shikakai

Shikakai means “fruit for hair” and is a traditional shampoo used in India. It is made from Acacia concinna, a shrub native to the warm, plains of central and south India. Shikakai extract, on hydrolysis yields lupeol and spinasterol and acacic acid lactone, and the sugars like glucose, arabinose and rhamnose. It also contains hexacosanol and spinasterone. Shikakai gives detangling property along with conditioning property to the hair. Shikakai is used in anti-dandruff preparations. Shikakai having natural low pH, is extremely mild. Henna

Henna botanically known as Lawsonia inermis, is a flowering plant, the sole species in the genus Lawsonia in the family Lythraceae. Hennacontains lawsone (C10H6O3), the active ingredient and a naturally occurring naphthoquinone along with Flavonoids and simple phenols. Hennaleaves have a red-orange dye, lawsone, and the highest dye concentration is in the petiole (the central vein). Young leaves have the highest petiole dye content. Olive

Olive is a fruit obtained from the olive Olea europaea family Oleaceae, a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin. Olive oil is composed mainly of the mixed triglyceride esters of oleic acid and palmitic acid and of other fatty acids, along with traces of squalene (up to 0.7%) and sterols (about 0.2% phytosterol and tocosterols). Olive oil contains potent antioxidant properties which are due to esters of tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol, including oleocanthal and oleuropein. Olive oil moisturizes and soothes the dry or sun damaged scalp skin. Almond from Prunus dulcis species of tree native to the Middle East has botanical name Prunus amygdalus Batsch, Amygdalus communis Lamygdalus dulcis Mill.
