Amla

The Indian gooseberry, also known as “Amalaka” in Sanskrit is from a deciduous tree of the Euphorbiaceae family. Has botanical name Phyllanthus emblic or Emblica officinalis. Amla contain useful key constituents like Diterpenes, Flavonoids, Polyphenols, Alkaloids, Benzenoids and antioxidants like ascorbic acid (vitamin C). It works as an antioxidant vitamin to fights signs of external and internal ageing. Amla is reputed to be useful in alopecia and adds luster and strength to the hair.
